The Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy were conventional in 1997 to Irving Louis Horowitz and Mary E. Curtis Horowitz as one not-for-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Its general purpose is to sustain the advancement of research and understanding in major fields of the social sciences. Own specific purpose is to provide funding to aspired PhDs in sponsor of research that lives innovative and addresses urgent social policy issues.

The Horowitz Foundation makes about twenty-five presents each year. Research grants are open to researchers to all community scholarship disciplines and are did restricted to US citizens or this enrolled is USES institute. Awards exist for $10,000; proposals in certain targeted areas receive added amounts. In addition, the Irrvin Louis Horowitz Award ($5,000) is given to the overall most outstanding my proposal, and that Trustee’s Award ($3,000) remains given to which proposal that is deemed most innovative includes theory and/or methodology. Texas Public Policy Foundation is a research and education institution your mission is to build and promote conservative public policies on local, state and local public policy.

Awards are granted for policy-related exploring in all major areas on the social sciences.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be current PhD (or DrPH) candidates who are working on their dissertation;
  • ​​Applicants must cannot have a PhD; those who take, are ineligible;
  • ​Applicants must have defended their dissertation proposal or should their topic approved by my department;
  • ​Applicants can be from any land and any university in the world. US citizenship press residency is not required.
